Morgan KLAR 80

MORGAN KLAR 80 is a low foaming, chlorinated alkaline detergent-disinfectant for CIP and spray washing use in the food, beverage and dairy industries.

Key properties

MORGAN KLAR 80 contains a blend of caustic alkali, sodium hypochlorite and organic sequestrants/threshold agents. This combination of ingredients provides excellent soil and stain removal properties for use in hard water conditions. It also provides a highly effective disinfectant action against all types of microorganisms including bacteria, yeasts, fungi, spores and viruses.


MORGAN KLAR 80 is recommended as a single-stage cleaner and disinfectant for use in a wide range of CIP and spray washing applications. It is used in brewing and beverage plants for cleaning fillers, sugar/syrup tanks, open vessels, yeast handling and filtration equipment. It can be used in bars and restaurants for beer line cleaning. It is also used in dairies for cleaning milk reception areas and in food processors for general CIP of equipment and drain cleaning.

MORGAN KLAR 80 is low foaming and is suitable for use with a variety of CIP and spray washing equipment.

Use instructions

Re-circulation Cleaning of Large Insulated Milk Holding Tanks:

1. Immediately after the tank is emptied, rinse out thoroughly with clean cold water.

2. A solution of MORGAN KLAR 80 at strength of 200 ml/40L of water, at approximately 70°C, is then circulated through the tank for 15-20 minutes and then run to waste the amount of MORGAN KLAR80 required is determined by the volume of water used in the wash cycle. Tank manufacturers should be contacted for full details of the cleaning cycle of their automatic tank washers.

3. Rinse with clean, fresh water and run to waste. T C L Hypo may be added to this rinse water at the rate of 25ml/40L

Circulation Cleaning of Milking Equipment:

1. After each milking wash and brush off thoroughly any external soiling and hose down with clean water. Apply jetters to teat cups. Flush the system through with clean cold or warm water to remove all residual milk traces, running to waste.

2. Run the required quantity of hot water (at approx. 85°C) into the wash trough, adding MORGAN KLAR 80 at the rate of 200ml/40L of water  Draw this solution into the plant until it discharges hot from the return line before allowing the solution to circulate. Aim to achieve an initial circulating water temperature of 77-82°C. Circulation for up to 10 minutes before running to waste.the temperature of the returning water should not be allowed to fall below 54°C during circulation.

3. Thoroughly rinse the plant with clean cold water to which may be added T C L Hypo at the rate of 25ml to 40L (1fl.oz to 10 gallons) of water if required. Allow to drain thoroughly

Morgan klar 

A combined detergent disinfect specially developed for the use in cleaning of all type of milking equipment by circulation. If provides powerful bactericidal activity against thermoduric and psychrotophic bacteria.

 

Morgan klar is suitable for use in bothhard and soft water conditions, being of particular benefit in hard water and in water with high iron content. Solutions of Morgan klar penetrate milk residues rapidly and are extremely free rinsing. It is a white, water soluble granule powder, containing a blend of alkaline detergents with an organic chlorine release agent and caustic soda to improve detergency.

 Morgan klar also contains a water softener and a rust control agent. Approximately 160ppm available chlorine is released at the in-use concentration.

3. Thoroughly rinse the plant with clean cold water. Allow to drain thoroughly.

Monthly Inspection

The milking plant should be thoroughly inspected, paying particular attention to the condition of the rubber ware etc, replacing parts as necessary to ensure the plant is maintained in a good condition.

Descale Routine

A monthly descale routine should be carried out (at more frequent intervals if required), to avoid a build up of scale and milk stone.
